The core issue with feminism today is just deep-rooted narcissism.
I hope this is a sign of Jenna Ortega waking up to the weird ass shit that Hollywood pushes. She seems to be one of these social justice activist types, just take one gander at her Instagram or a plethora of articles of her virtue signaling about feminism and whatnot. Theres one thing about being for women, and then there’s another where you just do it to be sexist against men, and justify it by sprinkling it with social political views.
She seems like she could break away from all that bs tbh, but since she basically grew up in Hollywood at a very early age, I feel as it’s too late, which is why I’m not really on the Jenna train, since I’ve already seen some wacko stuff said by her. As for Elle, she seems pretty cool and glad to see her in more things these days, Hideo Kojima is putting her to good use in DS2, and she seems like a lovely girl overall.
I agree with these two wholeheartedly, we need organic and natural strong female characters that don’t come across as a feminist’s wet dream, but instead a growth of character that we ALL can aspire to, regardless.
