To be fair, shipping companies are notorious for theft in developing countries. As the decline accelerates in the US, pilfering will increase, further accelerating the decline as people lose trust in trade routes.

I had an AR 15 upper shipped to me from Minnesota that was stolen not once but twice in Chicago. Yes UPS is full of thieves that will steal anything that is not bolted down. I had the part shipped with another carrier and it arrived with no issues. It is UPS, they will STEAL your package if it will benefit them.
Maybe it is being sold to the taliban or china cause they have immediate need for future operations against, dare I say it, well we all know what the answer is.
It’s not just one carrier, people spot these trucks on their routs and they are followed, after the driver makes their delivery, throwing the package on the porch without notifying the receiving party, the persons following them runs to the porch and away goes the package.
