Wait what? If I got an invite from the white house, I would NOT go. I would NEVER want to be honored by this administration. I wouldn’t want to be honored for my hard work equally to those who are “victims” or to those who demand it simply because of their identity.
Going to the WH is the polite, adult thing to do. But it’s wrong to suggest somehow that it’s your duty as a citizen to attend the event. Actually as a free American it’s your duty to do or say what you want about the whole situation. Go or don’t go as you please. It’s an honor not an obligation.
Not attending or accepting their invitation would be my way of speaking out! It is not up to U2 to decide what my reason is. I have a right to privacy and a right of free speech. That is far better than violence in the streets, which is what the left us to “speak out”

Really there was a time when a basketball or a football team won when Trump was in office and they wouldn’t go when Trump invited them , so why wasn’t all this being said back then.
