I was born and raised in CA. I retired and left CA 5 years ago. I couldn’t afford to retire in CA, it’s way too expensive. Add to that the dwindling quality of life with homeless, crime, drugs, horrendous commutes, etc. A lot of comments here say change the way you vote. I’m a lifelong Republican so my vote hasn’t counted in CA for many years. I don’t regret leaving at all.
I moved from CA in June of 2021! I had worked for the State of CA as a State worker with great pay for 22 years! I gave it all up and resigned because of Newsome and his crazy lock downs. My mom had moved out of CA in March 2021, and I followed in June. We moved here to VA, voted in a Republican Governor, and much happier. We live safe, free, no homeless. Pretty and not dry! Great people with manners! I had to look for a new job, and am a remote worker for a health plan. I make a little less then what I did in CA, but my taxes are less here in VA! đŸ™‚
