I was a tanker for 6 years. ’79 – 85. We’ve had depleted uranium sabot rounds since the early 80’s. Guaranteed they were used in Iraq.
If you were in the gulf war the tanks used saber rounds, I was with 1ST AD and we drove right though the mess we created with the depleted Uranium and then we camped right on top of it for a month during the cease fire. These rounds are 70% denser then normal rounds. They cause 70% more kinetic force.
