Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon is expected to be criminally indicted on fraud charges this week by New York prosecutors. According to the Washington Post, the indictment will centre around allegations he was part of a scheme that scammed private investors out of $25 million. According to a source who has seen the indictment, prosecutors allege Mr Bannon and others defrauded private investors over a “We Build the Wall” fundraising effort. Mr Bannon released a defiant statement late on Tuesday night, arguing the charges against him are “phony.”
