You don’t need to abuse your kids to discipline them. This parent is lazy and worthless.
I was born in a 3rd world country, but we were taught manners and respect. Even now, as a full grow adult, I don’t swear in front of my parents. It’s not poverty that affect how kids are raised, but parenting and culture. Stability, discipline, family values, respect, manners are all things that can’t be properly understood if you never had it yourself. Without truly understanding it, you can never give it. The best you can do is emulate what you believe it to be.
