The law needs to be this… if you cross the border illegally, you are NEVER eligible for an asylum claim. permanent ban. And if your caught crossing the border illegally, it’s 10 years before you can APPLY for a visa, green card, or American citizenship. crossing the border illegally should be such a nightmare for anyone, that we could leave the entire border unguarded, and still no one would cross.
