My pastor and I once spent a solid hour and a half trying to explain to a nice little old lady at my church how it was possible for a good Christian to vote for Trump (at her request, btw, we didn’t just pop up and start bugging her about it). The corporate media brainwashing was so strong that even after I showed her the Charlottesville quote in its original context, she still thought Trump was calling neo-Nazis very fine people.
Excellent video. I remember many of the stories mentioned here, and when I dared try to correct my friends and family with factual information, they wouldn’t believe me and instead preferred the lie. It’s really scary how so many people prefer to take things at face value, and when presented with new information they simply double down.
