We are fighting back hard against this hyperinflation. We got rid of our second car last month. Instantly we saw a decrease of 50% in monthly fuel costs, insurance costs and maintenance costs. We own a 2008 Toyota Prius I bought cash for $7500 in 2015. It had 67,000 miles on it. Now I have 184,000. Yes, I replaced the main battery last year for $3,400. We no longer eat out as much. We only spent $120 eating out in February. We have zero debt and building up cash reserves every month. If anyone here is in the car sales business….we have the cash to buy 50 plus new cars for cash if we wanted. Guess what….you can keep your mark ups and your cars we are not buying. We’re done.
My Dad told me that gas station would sometimes paint the price of a gallon of gas on the side of the station. That’s how stable gas prices were back in the 50’s.
