We are so messed up. As a retired senior NCO, I didn’t care about your sexual orientation or your identity. I identified everyone as a Soldier. If you were endangering yourself or others, you can count on me to be all over that soldiers back in a split second. I wasn’t alone, my junior NCOs would take care of most situations before I could get to it. It was discipline amongst us that kept our Unit, our Team, our Brother’s and Sister’s strong and safe. Tough Love we called it. Do your personal thing but keep the discipline within the ranks. We are or were Professionals not a political group. When bullets and bombs start flying, Color, race or political affiliation doesn’t matter. We become family and look out for one another, always.
