It’s hard to imagine how we could screw up higher education any more than we already have, but we’re about to—if we make sweeping student loan forgiveness a reality.

The Government should never have gotten into the student loan business. That’s the problem. Unless you choose business, law, or medical, a college degree DOESN’T guarantee a better job.
She’s absolutely correct how “student loan forgiveness” benefits universities more than any other party. It greatly expands the marketplace for their overpriced fare. Students drawn to a prestige university name but limited means can simply secure federally guaranteed loans, rather than pay reasonable tuition at state universities.
This is a buy vote scam. The government should not use tax payer money to pay for student loans. We paid for ours and should not pay for others.
